Halloween 2012

This year we have been so busy and exhausted that we made no plans for halloween.  Some friends, Ashleigh, Clete, and Zachary didn't have plans either, so we made some last minute plans to just get together for the evening and have our kids trick or treat together.

 

Brandon got a costume from his coworker, which totally fit Aubrey, so we decided just to put her in it and see it she would keep it on.  She did :)

Our little tiger would even do a little "roar" for us once in a while throughout the night. 

 

We took the kiddos out to a few houses.  Zachary was very exctied and eager to go to every front door.  Aubrey on the other hand was a little more hesitant, but she did get excited about everything at about the 4th house we went to.

 

A very low key night, but fun to get to have some fun with these two cute kids.

 

 

 



Potty Time!

Today was the first day that Aubrey was actually interested in going on her little potty seat.  We've been talking about it for weeks now, but no interest until tonight.  She said she had to go and Brandon asked her if she wanted to try and not go in her diaper.

 

She said yes...

 

 

She actually went #2!!  She was so proud and you couldn't wipe that smile off of her face :). 

 

I know when she gets older she'll strongly dislike that I ever took a picture of her like this let alone post it somewhere, but I just had to.  It's a big step!!

 

We'll see how long this excitement lasts and if this trend will continue...

 

Uncle Tyler and Aunt Jessica's Wedding

Today was Brandon's "little" brother's wedding!  It turned out to be a lovely fall day and a perfect  backyard wedding.

 

Brandon was the best man and Aubrey was one of the little flower girls.  Now the first time she put on her flower girl dress this is what occurred...

 

 

Tears and more tears!  Who knows why she didn't want to wear this pretty dress, but she wasn't having anything of it at the time.

 

On the way to the wedding however, I talked to her about wearing the dress and that she was going to walk down the aisle with daddy and how she was going to get her very own flower bouquet to hold.  I don't know if it was our little chat, but she wore that dress with no problem that day :).

 

 

 

We stuffed Aubrey with plenty of fruit snacks and she walked down the aisle with her daddy with no hesitation :).  I'll have to admit, it definitely brought tears to my eyes seeing our little girl and her dad walk down the aisle.  It was definitely a very special moment and a very special day.

We're having a ...

We're excited to be having another little girl join our family!

 

We announced it to our families by having them open up a package with a pink bundt cake in it.  Needless to say they were all pretty surprised as everyone thought we were having a boy :).  Some of our friends were also very surprised with the news.

 

Having another girl should make things a LOT easier on the budget.  It also helps that little Norah's parents offerred to let us borrow some of Norah's adorable clothes she's outgrown, which will help seeing that this baby will be born during a different season than Aubrey :).

Pumpking Patch Day!

This last Thursday Brandon and I both had the day off and we decided to go to the pumpkin patch as a family.

 

 

 

We went to this little farm, Zittel Farm,s on the border of Folsom and Orangevale.  It is such a cute, quaint looking place that we have always wanted to take our one day family there.  This was finally our year :). 

 

 

We had a great time picking out the perfect pumpkins for our home, petting some animals, and taking some fun fall pictures.  Not to mention Thursday was a PERFECT fall day and one that we haven't really felt in quite some time with all this summer heat going on.  The day was just perfect in so many ways and we just felt so blessed to have the day together :).

A Little Visitor

A couple of weeks ago Brandon put this little caterpillar in a jar. 

 

We thought it was dead for a couple of days, but today when Brandon came home from work we had a little butterfly waiting for us inside the jar :).
