Visiting Daddy at Work

Last week we finally had the chance to go visit daddy at work.  This was a first for Lucy!

His shift was ending right around the girl's bedtime, but I figured they would have so much fun that it wouldn't hurt to stay out a lot later this particular night.

Aubrey and Lucy loved going up in the tower and watching the airplanes take off and land.  We got out of the car and right away Lucy pointed to a plane overhead yelling "a-plane!"

Aubrey had a chance to go out onto the catwalk around the outside of the tower to see the airplanes a little better.  She wasn't scared at all and loved the experience!

After Brandon's shift officially ended we went over to the terminal to see the big bunny and walk around to see some more airplanes.  The first time Aubrey saw this huge bunny sculpture she was a little confused and disappointed as she kept looking for "real" bunnies and kept saying, "Where's the bunny?" even though we had pointed out that the big, red thing was it.

Successful and fun trip visiting daddy at work!!  I think we'll be visiting him more often :).

Frozen Chalk Fun

It has been so hot lately and way too hot to play at a park or go for walks.  With this heat it's been really hard to keep two busy girls entertained inside, so I decided to try this frozen chalk/erupting chalk recipe out.

It was a Pinterst win :).

Baking soda + cornstarch + food coloring + water frozen into ice cubes = color fun in hot weather

You can find this pin here.

We wet the ground a little bit and let the girls draw with the chalk.  Then we gave them a water bottle with a hole punctured at the top filled with vinegar to spray on to the chalk and colors on the ground.  It was a fun science experiment to see the baking soda and vinegar react into fizzing bubbles!  And our girls love bubbles!

Good fun on a hot day!

The Girls [tea party]

Our little girls are growing up way too fast.  We wanted to take some pictures of the girls together and what could be more fun than a tea party.  Aubrey got this tea set (actually she got three sets!) for her first birthday and she's loved it since the minute she opened it.  Aubrey is all girl and she has loved having tea parties with anyone who will participate.

So we decided to take some pictures by our new favorite tree and picture taking spot.  Aubrey was as helpful as she always is with Lucy and showed her how to hold her cup and drink from it.  Even when Lucy wasn't using her cup the right way Aubrey swiftly corrected her.  Aubrey is so good with Lucy right now and we hope and pray these two will become great friends.

Here is their first little tea party together :).

Here's to many more tea parties in the future!  One day we'll use real tea cups and eat real food, but for now mom and dad will just enjoy this precious time with our two littles and the moments they spend together.

Just love...

...these three! We spent the evening last night hanging out at home, enjoying some lazy Saturday evening time together. A picture of a father and his daughters just playing together...priceless :).

And a first kiss from Lucy to her big sister...also priceless :).

I just love our little family and the precious time we have together.

Lucy's Newborn Pictures

Once again my awesome photographer brother (Jeremy Maz Photography) took some pictures of our new little Lucy at one week old. I love how Lucy's uncle took these and how special that really is :).

This post is a little late, but here they are!  Here are some of our favorites.  Thank you Jeremy for doing such a great job once again and capturing our little family :).
