Father's Day 2017

A couple of weeks ago before Father's Day we got the chance to celebrate with our dads.  We took a picnic lunch up to Jack Russell Brewery close to Apple Hill.  It was the perfect setting and we couldn't have asked for a nicer weather day.

The boys got to enjoy some drinks, the girls had the space to run and play, and we all had a great, relaxing time together celebrating these very special men in our lives!

On Father's Day weekend we got the chance to go to Brandon's favorite place...Tahoe!  He got the time off of work, so after swimming lessons on Friday we drove up, had a great dinner at Moe's Original BBQ in Tahoe City, and then headed to the cabin.

We celebrated Father's Day for Brandon on Saturday. We had a special breakfast of homemade biscuits and gravy, we took a long walk to Sugar Pine point and played in the water there, and then had some relaxed time in the afternoon before we BBQ a special dinner.  It was the perfect day for Brandon and exactly the way he wanted to spend it.  The girls were troopers too!  They walked over 5 miles that day and didn't complain once!

It was an awesome weekend celebrated the man we love so much.  Brandon, you are so very loved by your girls and we could not ask for a better husband and father!  You are so wonderful to us.  Thank you for ALL that you do!  Now that there are so some big job changes in store for you, we want you to know that we are so proud of you (especially your wife).

Happy Father's Day my love!

Father's Day 2016

This year we celebrated Father's Day a little early.  I was going to be gone to Utah on Father's Day, so we celebrated the special man in our lives the weekend before.

This man in our lives deserves trophies of many kinds.  He wears so many different hats on our family I don't know what I would do without him!  He's handy man, gardener, music man, part therapist, air traffic controller, barbeque and meat smoke master, patient, kind, generous, helpful, hard working, and no matter how tired he may be he always has the time and energy to play and wrestle with these energetic girls!  He's all these things and so much more to us!

The way he treats me as his wife is just priceless.  He doesn't put me down, he lets me achieve my dreams, he helps me on my crazy project ideas, he helps out with the house, he listens to my side of the story, he is always supportive, is always there and present with our girls, and he makes me feel special every single day no matter how I may be feeling that particular day.  I appreciate everything he does for me and our family and the sacrifices he makes every day.  He's a gem and I couldn't have dreamed of anyone else to share my life with.  We have so much fun together.  To our inside jokes, movie quotes and shenanigans together, I love every moment I get to spend with this man!

Happy Father's Day Brandon!!  We love you so very much and are so grateful you are ours!!

When my brother was in town, we got to celebrate an early Father's Day with my dad and grandpa.  Special memories :).

Father's Day 2015

These girls and their dad.  They have a special bond that is hard to explain, but I get to be the lucky one that sees the bond and the closeness they share on a daily basis :).  The way they play and laugh together melts your heart.  The way Brandon throws the girls up in the air or wrestles with them sometimes stops my heart!  But in every interaction with them there is love behind it all.

He entertains (a lot of the time with playing his ukulele and singing some pretty crazy, made up songs), he laughs, he's patient, he's stern and disciplines when its warranted, he takes every chance he can get to spend time with the girls, and he is ever sacrificing and works hard for our family.  I can go on and on, but I'll stop for now :).  He's just wonderful and I couldn't imagine parenting these little girls without him (especially on those days when I just can't handle another tantrum!).

Thank you Brandon for loving our girls and I unconditionally through it all!  Thank you for everything that you do for us and for the wonderful example of a loving husband and father you are.  Happy Father's Day!!  We love you!

Father's Day 2014

Today daddy was greeted this morning when he came home from work with his two girls waiting for him and ready to give him his presents. We did another questionnaire sheet for him that Aubrey helped me fill out with her answers and that made for some funny morning reading :). We had a busy rest of the day today with church, lunch plans, and a wedding, but I think Brandon still felt special :).

He has been an amazing father for our two girls and I couldn't be more blessed in having Brandon for a husband. He is patient, loves on our girls, a dance king when it come to dance parties, a hard worker, and so much more!!

Not the best of pictures with the girls this year, but they still capture the moment :)

I couldn't be more thankful for this man in my life! Papi, we love you!!

Happy Father's Day to the very special men in our lives!! We love you so very much and appreciate all you do for us and for all that you are :). Thank you!!

Father's Day 2013

Preparing for this years fathers day started a few weeks ago. Now if you have a kid who is still on a pretty strict feeding and napping schedule it can be a little tricky getting out of he house at times. I had to seize the opportunity one day to get Brandon's Father's Day gift. It was nothing really special but he needed some good sandals and with that we got him some of his favorite goodies. I had to take the girls with me and Aubrey is at the age where you really have to explain things and she asks a lot of questions. She also has a really good memory.

That brings me to a couple of days ago. We're sitting at the dinner table and Aubrey out of the blue says, "Daddy, we got you sandals!" Brandon really tried to ignore it, but he couldn't contain his laughter. I just hung my head. This was the first incident where she spilled the beans.

Second incident. We were making cookies yesterday and Aubrey was helping me. Brandon had to run some errands so he left. While he was out I told Aubrey we needed to wrap his present. Brandon all of a sudden comes in to get something he forgot and Aubrey blurts out, "Daddy, we're going to wrap your present!"  I mean really cute, but seriously girl?! Spilling our secrets twice?!  Well it wouldn't be the last in preparation for this day :).

Third incident. Brandon comes back from running his errands and Aubrey drew on his card while he was gone. She excitedly states when Brandon comes through the door, "I drew on your card. Go and get your card!!"  I just looked at Brandon and simply stated, "Epic fail."  I laugh at Aubrey's innocent, excited enthusiasm for giving these gifts. She has shown time and time again that she really is such a caring girl and we just love her for it.

Now Father's Day morning has arrived and Aubrey is eager to greet her daddy. Well she drank a little too much water last night and she got up a little wet. When Brandon got up she rushed to give him a hug. Brandon happily picked her up and she said, "Happy Father's Day! I'm sorry I'm a little wet...with pee." Brandon just started laughing :). I know Brandon loves being a dad and these moments just make it even more memorable. Our quirky girl is just too much for us sometimes and we can't wait for what Lucy might say and do. We later gave Brandon all of his random gifts (of which he already knew most of them) and we had one of his favorite dishes for breakfast.

I asked Aubrey some questions about her daddy this year and these are the answers she gave me:

This was also Lucy's first Father's Day and it was a special moment for Brandon when she cuddled with him and laid on his chest during church today. These two have a special little bond and he can really make this girl smile and (almost) giggle :).

On top of that Lucy was happy and had a really good day today!!  Daddy also loved the way she looked today in her dress :).

I would say these girls look pretty darn cute with their daddy's arms around them. I just love these three so much!

The rest of the day was busy with church and family. We had a delicious lunch with Brandon's parents and Tyler and Jessica.

My mom and dad came over in the late afternoon for some dessert and I got to give my dad his cookies Aubrey and I made for him.

We also got to FaceTime with Krystal, Jon (who had his very first Father's Day!) and Norah.

We're missing one grandchild in this picture. Aubrey is spending the night with Nana and Papa and Lucy will be spending the night with my parents. For the final leg of Father's Day Brandon and I are spending the night away in Santa Rosa because we're going on a hot air balloon ride tomorrow!!! This is Lucy's first night away from me and of course I'm a little anxious, but I know she is in good hands. Here's to celebrating Father's Day and Brandon's 30th (again) in one weekend! We love you daddy!! We could not ask for a more sacrificing, caring, loving and overall awesome daddy and husband!!
