Daughter Dates

We decided one day to split the girls up and have some one-on-one time with them!

Daddy and Aubrey had recently finished a Harry Potter book, so they watched the movie while Lucy and I went on a bike ride to The Fountains for a special treat.  It was a beautiful day and so fun for all of us to spend some special time with just one of our girls at once.  They have really been troopers during this time of both parents working full time and distance learning being really challenging (for mom and girls!).

This was a day that was very much needed and one that we will remember for a long time :).

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was spent just the four of us this year!  Daddy came home from his midnight shift and we opened presents, had breakfast and celebrated just us :).

Aubrey made us a special ornament from school.

The girls enjoyed playing and building with their new toys that morning!

Lucy had some fun playing with her nativity finger puppets she got the night before at church.

We had a really relaxed morning together and it was wonderful!  We later went over to my parents house to celebrate with aunts, uncles, cousins, and baba and dido!

Leading up to Christmas was a little crazy with working until Friday the 23rd!  There will be lots of changes in the new year with a new teaching partner, but we enjoyed these moments of being still and soaking in the quiet moments this Christmas :).

The Royal Treatment

Before Aubrey started school, the girls both spent the night at their grandparents house.  Boy, did they get the royal treatment when they were there!

They had so much fun having a sleepover and watching a movie in their sleeping bags, pancakes for breakfast, and then these lucky girls got to go for their very first manicures and pedicures!

My mom took them and she said they were nervous and quiet the entire time.  We've done our fair share of manicures and pedicures at home, but never quite like this!

Lucy told me later that her favorite part was the hand and foot massage they got :).  They might have been shy at the nail salon, but they were sure talkative about it when they got home!

They both chose some shade of blue (which was kind of surprising for our pink and purple Aubrey), but I can't get over how cute those little toes looked!

Lucy also really liked the dryer and that was when her smile came out :).

Such fun, special times!  These girls are very loved!  What a special treat before a very special first day of Kindergarten!
