Mother's day was a little different this year as our house is still pretty much in chaos. No counter tops, no sink, no floors. I know, first world problems, but it's been challenging, tiring, and crazy.
Anyhow, we needed to get out of the house for the day. We had a friend's sister give us some suggestions and she gave us some great spots to see and eat at around Lake Merritt. It was a great morning just being together just the four of us and exploring a new place.
We ate at Neptune's in Alameda for brunch and then headed home where we met my parents for dinner at their house. We had a feast that night with lobster, BBQ, salads and yummy desserts. My mom and I definitely felt spoiled and loved!
