Valentine's Day 2021...simple and sweet :)

Valentine's Day 2018

Valentine's Day morning daddy didn't have to work, so we took advantage of the time we had together and had a nice breakfast all together before Aubrey headed off to school and daddy headed out to work.  On the menu was French toast with strawberries and whipped cream.

 

We just love these little sweet hearts of ours!

 

Our girls were spoiled by their grandparents with little treats and gifts!

The girls were so sweet to make us their own Valentines :).

 



In the afternoon the girls had some strawberry, yogurt parfaits :).

February Tidbits

 We signed Aubrey up for a class this month at Blue Line Art Gallery.  It was a three hour class where they drew, painted, and molded a little piece of pottery.  Aubrey had fun with friends and it was a nice little outlet for her to be creative!

Valentine's Day was low key, but special for us.  Brandon and I both had the day off of work!  We had pancakes for breakfast, homemade pasta for dinner (thanks to Brandon!), and smores fondue for dessert!  We love these girls so much and we love the special times we get with them!

We made 'cupid floats' for the girls for dinner and they drank these special concoctions up!

We had a movie night at Aubrey's school one Friday night and we watched 101 Dalmatians for the first time.

Now this moment makes me tear up a little.  Aubrey LOVES to read to Lucy and Lucy loves to listen.  Life has come full circle.  Exciting growth, but bittersweet all at the same time. Aubrey seems so grown up at times now!

During my vacation week in February, Brandon and I finally got a chance to get away just the two of us for a couple of days.  It was wonderful and the time together was priceless.  Thank you to my parents for watching the girls for us!

Valentine's Day 2014 [Lucy's first]

Taking these pictures and looking at them today kind of reminded me of our week.  There were some excellent moments with friends and family this week, but it was kind of a messy, rough, and chaotic week for many reasons. 

 

Yesterday we quickly tried to take some pictures of the girls in between so many things that were going on that we didn't notice that Aubrey still had some of her snack on her face, her shoes were on the wrong feet, and well, Lucy just wasn't in the best of moods due to her teething and her poor eye was watering badly.  But despite this week and all the craziness that it had in it, and despite our not-all-together look, Brandon and I took the time to remember we love each other and we are crazy in love with our girls.  Nothing can change that :). 

 

This was Lucy's first valentine's day so it was still very special :).  Sometimes you just can't get that perfect picture you want.  It makes for some fun memories in the meantime :).
