November has proven to be a busy month once again!
Here's some of this month's moments captured :).
Nana put together a tea party for Aubrey's birthday...Sheriff Calie style!
The girls and I got to go to a beauty parlor birthday party and boy did these girls get pampered! They got their hair done, nails painted, and even got some eyeshadow on :).
I had a Friday off together with Aubrey, so the girls and I had the chance to head out to a park, drink some hot chocolate, and ride their scooters while I took a walk. I was such a beautiful day and a special memory with just the girls and I!
We put together some shoe boxes for operation Christmas child. The girls picked out all the goodies and gifts and we packed it up and turned them in. There were some good conversations about giving and being thankful for what we have :).
We made some scarecrows.
The artistic interpretation was pretty funny to us :).
The week of Thanksgiving we drove to Utah for a quick trip to see cousins and family! It was a whole two days, but boy did we pack in a lot of fun!
On Aubrey's 6th birthday we tried to make the 'everyday' kinds of things just a little more special. It was a school day, so we tried to get some of the festivities started early :).
She opened up her present from us that morning (a new Razor scooter that she's been asking about for a while now!) and we had a fun breakfast with some decorations around the table. Daddy and Lucy picked out the decorations and they had fun getting the house looking birthday ready. We also got her a huge balloon that is still floating around our house today :).
The birthday girl's request was breakfast for dinner! We made pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream.
To keep with the strawberry theme, Aubrey also requested a strawberry and vanilla cake for her birthday cake! It took me all morning, but we made a vanilla bean cake with strawberry frosting :). She was a pretty excited girl when she saw it when she got home from school. Mission accomplished :). And yes, I took lots of pictures of it...
Family came over for cake and presents after dinner and it was a special night spent with them :).
