One Year Old!!!

I don't know how we went from this...

to this...

in a year!!!

I just can't believe this little girl is one!! A year ago I couldn't tell you how our lives would change, although I knew it would. She has brought so much joy, laughter, entertainment, smiles, fullfilment in being a mom and a dad, and love. There is nothing like the feeling and experience of being parents.  You can try to tell someone about it, but until you experience it for yourself it just doesn't compare.  You just can't imagine how much love you have for this little miracle and how much you would do for her.  Even with the hard days, there is no better job than being a mom.  A friend and coworker said that, "Any bad day at home beats any good day of teaching."  She was totally right!  We just couldn't imagine our lives without her and how much God has blessed us with a little girl like her.

The first few months we thought would never end.  One doesn't know how one will survive on such little sleep, but we made it!  Sleep deprived I remember yelling at Brandon while we were trying to sleep at 2:00am, " Do you have the baby?!  Where's Aubrey?!"  She was of course sleeping soundly in her basinet :).  God truly gave us the strength we needed to survive.

Now a year later our little girl has rolled over, sat up, crawled, and now trips and fall many times but is walking.  She went from eating just milk to now eating solids and loving it.  She went from not even being the least interested in reading books to now handing the books to be read and sitting in your lap waiting for you to read it.  She gives kisses.  She tries to put on her socks and shoes.  She went from hardly sleeping to sleeping through the night.  She went from showing none of her personality to showing it in true color now.  We are just loving every minute of it :).

As we look to the next year ahead, we know that you will change and grow so much more.  This year has gone by so fast and I'm sure the next will as well.  We will cherish every moment we have you with you little one and love you more every day.  We love you Aubrey girl!  Happy Birthday!!!

First Halloween

For the first time, since we have been married, Brandon had Halloween off.  And what a great day to be off for Aubrey's first Halloween.  We spent the evening with friends, chili, and apple-pumpkin pie.

Our little one was a "chick" in a $1.00 costume find!

She Walks!!!

As of yesterday Aubrey has officially taken her first steps!!

A Week of Family

Last week was a VERY busy week, but a very fun week for us with family.  Sunday we found out my aunt along with my mom's aunt and uncle (who came from Argentina) were coming to visit for five days.  On Wednesday we found out that Krystal and Jon were also going to drive all night from Utah and stay with us until Saturday.  So, I kicked it into high gear and got the room and the house ready for our wonderful visitors!  This was the first time Krystal and Jon had the opportunity to stay with us in our guest room that we finally put together (it only took us two years!).  It was fun to wake up with them in the mornings.

Thursday night was a whole family dinner, and Friday we got to go to Apple Hill with Krystal and Jon.  it was a beautiful autumn day and we couldn't have asked for a happier little girl as well :).

This may look like Aubrey is sticking her tongue out at someone, but she's actually showing them her teeth :)

Saturday was also a busy day.  Saturday Brandon's side of the family came up from Modesto for an early dinner at our house.  It was fun to see them and for them to finally meet Aubrey!  We got to also meet Allison and baby Pierce!

Sunday was our final day with our LA/Argentina family, so we went over to my parent's house for pizza that evening.

Mom's Uncle Vladimiro, Aunt Marta, Baba and Aubrey, Mom's Aunt Olga

Overall, a VERY busy week but so good to see and spend time with all this family.  We had a great time :).

Eleven Months

We just can't believe our little one is already almost a year!!!  Time has flown by and she has changed so much!

At 11 months Aubrey:
~ Loves to push big objects around.  Her favorite is pushing her bin of toys around.
~ Is a VERY inquisitive little girl!  She wants to see and touch everything! 98% of everything she finds goes directly into her mouth.

~ Loves to hug any stuffed animal now.  One of her favorites was Jon's old Michigan bear :).

~ Learned how to get snacks out of her snack trap cup
~ Climbs down backwards off of a couch or anything high.  She is getting pretty good at climbing up and down stairs
~ Has five teeth now
~ Love to get into tiny places...still.

~ Took her first plane ride.  Destination: Utah
~ Ate chicken for the first time and didn't like it so much.  We'll keep trying :)
~ Stands by herself for a few seconds at a time

~ Shakes her head up and down for "yes."  She's already learned "no" earlier :(

~ Don't really know how to describe it, but when you sing to her she tries to sinig along sometimes but she sings in this light, high voice.  Makes your heart just melt :)

~ Loves to walk around when you hold both of her hands and she wants to go fast!
~ Is getting hurt more than ever with how fast she gets into things.  She pulls herself up on everything, but the tile floor isn't the best landing spot :(

~ She is an extremely busy girl and doesn't slow down for a minute, but she entertains us more and more everyday.  We just love her to pieces!

Our little pumpkin :)

Utah ~ Thanksgiving Point

On our last full day, we went to this place called Thanksgiving point.  A fun little place that was all decorated for fall.  It had beautiful flowers and landscaping everywhere so we took advantage of the grounds for some pictures.  First fall pictures for Aubrey :).

After a long day, our last night was spent relaxing.
