This girl is growing! At the beginning of this month at her two month appointment she was 9 lbs, 14oz (12th percentile) and 22 inches (21 percentile). We're pretty sure she's gained at least a pound since then. She's starting to round out a little bit and finally get some chunkier legs which we just love to squeeze.
At three months Lucy:
- loves to smile! Whenever she is fed and awake she is one happy girl. She loves to look at faces and if you give her a big smile she'll usually give you one back in return. Except for the evenings she's a pretty happy girl.
- still doesn't sleep much :(. She takes 40-45 minute naps and then she wakes up. This happens throughout the day. About every other, however, she sleeps at least 4 hours straight. The other nights she is up for hours in the middle of the night! We're still trying to figure out what her schedule really should be.
- unlike her sister, likes to watch TV when it's on. We barely have it on, but she tries to turn her head to see it every time she hears it. Aubrey could care less about the TV.
- is squealing a lot when she plays
- is one fast nurser of which I am so grateful for!
-started clicking her tongue
- doesn't like car rides or her car seat. She really dislikes getting into her carseat. When you finally get her settled and into the car she cries. Every time you stop at a light or stop sign she starts to cry too. She's only fallen asleep in the car a handful of times.
- turns from side to side when laying on her back.
- likes to be held facing out to see the world
- can hold some objects in her hands for a while. She does best with her rattle.
- likes to put her blankets in her mouth
- she loves to suck on her fingers too
- started to lose the little hair she had. I can't even count how many kisses we've given that bald head since she was born :)
- makes some pretty serious faces sometimes :)
- loves to kick her legs!
- likes to be sitting up. Not for too long, but when she's really awake she loves it. She's getting to be very observant.
- is just like her sister, she's notorious for getting out of her swaddle, but we're still swaddling her because she seems to sleep a little better that way :)
- nuzzles her face when she is tired
- when in her swing puts her arm up and slips her hand under the pillow part like she's almost putting her hand under her head.
- likes mom to calm her down
- has a strong neck and getting stronger. She still is not a huge fan of being on her tummy, but she does a lot better when she is on the Boppy pillow and can be propped up a little more.
- loves to push herself up when she's on her tummy
- when on her back she pushes herself with her legs so that by the time you get back to her she has scooted up pretty far
- loves to have her sister play with her. Aubrey still is being such a caring big sister. Even in the car when Lucy is screaming she tries to sing to her, console her, and hold her hand.
Aubrey loves to get under the playmat with her little sister.
- doesn't fall asleep just anywhere much anymore, but when she does she is OUT!
- loves being on the changing table. We don't know what it is but whenever you place her on the changing table to be changed she just smiles!
