It has been so hot lately and way too hot to play at a park or go for walks. With this heat it's been really hard to keep two busy girls entertained inside, so I decided to try this frozen chalk/erupting chalk recipe out.
It was a Pinterst win :).
Baking soda + cornstarch + food coloring + water frozen into ice cubes = color fun in hot weather
You can find this pin here.
We wet the ground a little bit and let the girls draw with the chalk. Then we gave them a water bottle with a hole punctured at the top filled with vinegar to spray on to the chalk and colors on the ground. It was a fun science experiment to see the baking soda and vinegar react into fizzing bubbles! And our girls love bubbles!
Good fun on a hot day!
