This summer I snagged an awesome find at a neighborhood garage sale of a little red riding hood outfit for Aubrey. She dressed up in it during playtimes at home. When we were thinking of Halloween we decided to run with the whole Red Riding Hood theme! We had decided that Aubrey would be Red Riding Hood, Lucy would be the grandma, and with our friend Zachary in the same preschool class as Aubrey it was fitting that he would be the big bad wolf and his brother Xander would be a lumberjack. I mean even thinking about it got us excited!
And when it all came together...the cuteness was almost too much to handle!
During preschool this week the kids got to show us parade around the gym all dressed up!!
Halloween night the big bad wolf and the lumberjack, along with their parents, came over and we all went trick-or-treating together. Of course we had to get lots of pictures of all of them together :).
Lucy took the evening all in stride. She would just stand right behind Aubrey and Zachary as they approached the doors. She was a little perplexed as to what exactly was going on and what exactly her sister was getting inside her little bucket. Aubrey was brave this year and said "trick or treat" and even a shy "happy Halloween" at times. They were all so excited and it was so fun to see them so innocent, cute and enjoying themselves.
