Today was Lucy's first dental visit and couldn't have gone better!
She was a little nervous going in, but she was all smiles when she sat in her big girl chair, they covered her with a comfy princess blanket, and gave her headphones to watch Frozen. I mean, I would be happy too if I could relax at the dentist office like that! (It's the little things like that I know that my mom friends and I wouldn't take for granted!).
We weren't quite sure how our youngest would act when it came to be told that she had to open her mouth and get her teeth cleaned with metal objects, but she listened and did exactly what they asked of her! Very big surprise on our part. Not that she's not a good listener, but sometimes when she fears something she shuts down. On the contrary this time :). She did awesome!!
And, to top things off and make the visit even better, we left with a certificate stating that she was cavity free!! Thank goodness for daddy's good genes on that part :).
Keep those little pearly whites nice and clean baby girl! You did such an awesome job today!

ReplyDeleteThose are some very cute pictures. What a big girl going to the dentist and not even showing any signs of fright. That is a good way to start her regimen of going to the dentist. Hopefully it continues with her and lasts through her whole life. It’s crucial to her dental health in the long run. Thanks for sharing.

I was so anxious about taking our two-year-old son to the dentist for the first time, that I actually put it off. It turned out my fears were unfounded. He was fearless, and came through like a champion. We have a trusted dentist, and he regularly practices on children, which made it easier for everyone. My son also got a great report!
