Our biggest news of the month was that our newest niece and cousin, Kate Hazel Fox, was born on September 3!! It's so hard to be so far away during these life moments, but I look forward to meeting and holding her in the upcoming week! The rest of the family has so wait some time until November (why do plane tickets have to be so expensive anyway?!), but we're looking forward to the time when Brandon and the girls get to meet her!!
We made it to Point Bonita lighthouse one Saturday when from Argentina and southern California were here to visit. We made it there and no where else we had planned because the city was so incredibly busy and crowded!! We still made the most of it and ended the day with some very yummy ice cream sundaes. More on that little trip here.
We made a trip out to Apple Hill one Saturday with friends. At least we got one trip in before Brandon leaves!
We always seem to have something being "built" in our home and this month was no exception! The girls were so sad that this "party house" had to be taken down, but we needed those chairs and blankets at some point! :)
I had the opportunity to take a day off of work one Friday to spend some time with our girls. We had a great time drinking our special treats and painting pottery that morning. These times seem so precious nowadays as I'm working so much more and I am so thankful for these moments!
This month marked Brandon's last day at Sacramento International Airport Tower. You can see more on that here.
We officially have a new "normal" for the next couple of months!

On our last weekend together we went out to one of our favorite places for brunch and got to spend the entire day together. Brandon hasn't had weekends off in years and this time together was so special to us. The Koi pond was the main attraction for the girls :).
Lucy had a pancake breakfast at her preschool this month. This girl loves her pancakes!
This month also came with some hard new for our family as we heard that my grandpa has bladder cancer. He's had one procedure already that confirmed the cancer and now we are waiting for the next one coming in October to see how severe it really is. We're hoping and praying that it didn't spread much. My grandpa is taking it in stride and being positive about it of which we are so thankful for.
We're officially into fall now! Bring on October and all the fun that autumn brings!
