Disney Alaska Cruise

Back in June we started off the summer with some colder weather.  Brandon's grandparents gifted the family with a family Disney cruise to Alaska!  It was a trip full of memories, beautiful scenery, special times with family, LOTS of food, wonderful shows, and all the magical fun that Disney has to offer!

Our girls haven't been surrounded by Disney much, so this trip seemed extra special for them getting to see the different Disney princesses and characters as well as experiencing a little Disney magic everyday.

We set sail from Vancouver on a Monday afternoon.  We flew in the day before and stayed the night in the city.  The city was a lot of fun and beautiful and we'd love to visit there again for an extended amount of time.

We got on the ship and got to explore and walk around before our room was ready.  The ship had a club where we could drop off the girls for some fun on their own.  Aubrey was of course a bit hesitant the first couple of days, but she warmed up to it as they did some science experiments, baked, and got to experience what it's like to be an animator!

The atrium of the ship was beautiful!

We sailed away from Vancouver.  It was a beautiful day the day we left!

One of the first stops on the ship was for frozen yogurt.  The first of many stops to this place!

The ship was beautiful with some classy Disney flair to it in all areas of the ship.

Disney knows how to throw a party and the Bon Voyage was no exception!

Animator's Palate was one of the restaurants on the ship.  We rotated eating at three different restaurants during our tip.  This particular morning was a character breakfast morning!

Our first day was out at sea.

Tritan's was another one of the restaurants we ate at.

The girls always loved their desserts (yes, that's plural) they got every single night!

One of our servers always made sure to make the girls feel extra special with origami art almost every night.

Our cabin always had a chocolate treat and towel animals when they turned down the beds at night.

The second day we were out at sea to see a glacier from our ship.  We sailed through the tracy arm fjord along the way.

Yup.  It was cold and windy.

Our first port was Skagway.  And yup, it was cold.

Poor Lucy was pretty miserable, but we tried to make her laugh and have fun :).

The Oceanear's Club had so much for the kids to do!

We were almost always greeted by a fury friend in our room each time we came back in :).

Our second port was Juneau.  I think we saw more bald eagles in one spot than any one of us had seen in our entire lives!

We took a hike that day up to Mendenhall Glacier.

Our little rock collector couldn't resist picking up some special rocks along the way.

On captain's feast night, Lucy got her very own lobster tail and this girl couldn't have been more excited!

We did manage to get some family pictures!

One morning we got meet some of the princesses on board!

We got to meet Belle, Lucy's favorite.

Our last port day was Ketchikan.  This day was sunny and warm!

One night at the Animator's Palate restaurant we each got to 'animate' our own drawing.  Later on in the evening, we got to see our drawings come to life!

The last day we spent having fun, swimming and enjoying the sunshine.  We walked around the boat and took in the beauty of Alaska one more time.

It was a beautiful, fun-filled cruise with memories that will last in our hearts for a lifetime!
