We celebrated Aubrey's 8th birthday with a little painting party with some of her closest friends and siblings. Our neighbor knew someone who did art parties and projects like this, so we decided to bring out the creativity in all of these little ones. Aubrey got to choose what picture she wanted to draw and work from. The teacher led them into the initial steps of the drawing, but then the rest was up to them!
The room was pretty quiet with these girls concentrating on their drawings :).
Lucy was so careful with her drawing and she even reversed the flamingo in hers!
Each girl also decorated their own little cupcakes for dessert.
Each girl had the same starting point, but each one had their own distinctive characteristics and personality come through in their drawings!
We celebrated with family with a butterscotch cake!
We also celebrated going miniature golfing with friends!
And the celebrations continued with Nana's annual tea party!
Aubrey, eight seems to be starting off just great!
