On June 7 we celebrated 9 years of marriage! We wanted to try and go away for the night somewhere, but it just wasn't in the cards with me still teaching and Brandon not having the time off. We made the best of our crazy schedules and got away for the afternoon and evening to Sausalito.
It was an overcast day, but the weather was perfect. There was a light breeze and the air was crisp. We went to local café and sat with a coffee and a scone (in the middle of the afternoon!). What a treat that was just to sit and be able to do that for a moment with no interruptions :).
We went to dinner to Poggio and then on the way back home we treated ourselves to some very yummy ice cream at Fenton's on the way home.
We talked, we laughed, and we enjoyed being just us for a little while. Funny, when you're working and you're a parent, you sometimes forget what it was like to be "just us." :)
Happy 9th Anniversary Brandon! Here's to many more years of doing life together with you! I couldn't have asked for a better partner to live this life with and I am so incredibly thankful for every day with you! I love you!
