Father's Day 2017

A couple of weeks ago before Father's Day we got the chance to celebrate with our dads.  We took a picnic lunch up to Jack Russell Brewery close to Apple Hill.  It was the perfect setting and we couldn't have asked for a nicer weather day.

The boys got to enjoy some drinks, the girls had the space to run and play, and we all had a great, relaxing time together celebrating these very special men in our lives!

On Father's Day weekend we got the chance to go to Brandon's favorite place...Tahoe!  He got the time off of work, so after swimming lessons on Friday we drove up, had a great dinner at Moe's Original BBQ in Tahoe City, and then headed to the cabin.

We celebrated Father's Day for Brandon on Saturday. We had a special breakfast of homemade biscuits and gravy, we took a long walk to Sugar Pine point and played in the water there, and then had some relaxed time in the afternoon before we BBQ a special dinner.  It was the perfect day for Brandon and exactly the way he wanted to spend it.  The girls were troopers too!  They walked over 5 miles that day and didn't complain once!

It was an awesome weekend celebrated the man we love so much.  Brandon, you are so very loved by your girls and we could not ask for a better husband and father!  You are so wonderful to us.  Thank you for ALL that you do!  Now that there are so some big job changes in store for you, we want you to know that we are so proud of you (especially your wife).

Happy Father's Day my love!

9th Anniversary

On June 7 we celebrated 9 years of marriage!  We wanted to try and go away for the night somewhere, but it just wasn't in the cards with me still teaching and Brandon not having the time off.  We made the best of our crazy schedules and got away for the afternoon and evening to Sausalito.

It was an overcast day, but the weather was perfect.  There was a light breeze and the air was crisp.  We went to local cafĂ© and sat with a coffee and a scone (in the middle of the afternoon!).  What a treat that was just to sit and be able to do that for a moment with no interruptions :).

We went to dinner to Poggio and then on the way back home we treated ourselves to some very yummy ice cream at Fenton's on the way home.

We talked, we laughed, and we enjoyed being just us for a little while.  Funny, when you're working and you're a parent, you sometimes forget what it was like to be "just us." :)

Happy 9th Anniversary Brandon!  Here's to many more years of doing life together with you!   I couldn't have asked for a better partner to live this life with and I am so incredibly thankful for every day with you!  I love you!

Bye, Bye Kindergarten

Yet another milestone for our Aubrey girl!  Her kindergarten year is finished and a chapter closes.

She had so much fun this year making new friends, learning how to read and becoming more confident in herself.

You have grown so much Aubrey in so many ways and we could not be more proud of you!!

Here are some snapshots from Daddy as he got to be there for her last day of school festivities!

As much as this girl loved school, she couldn't wait for summer vacation to finally arrive!  Her favorite part of summer so far is "sleeping in" :).

Hello summer!  Here's to no schedules, family time, playing, swimming, and having fun!  We'll talk about 1st grade way too soon for my liking, so we'll just keep it at that :).
