Krystal's Baby Shower

On Saturday, October 9th, I was blessed to have yet another shower.  This one was put on by my sister Krystal.  The shower was held at my parent's house (Ozzie and Nellie) the same place that our wedding was held.  That house will always hold such special memories.

Krystal flew in from Portland a couple of days before and with the help of some other family members and a LOT of Krystal's time spent on decorations, nametags, and games, the shower turned out beautiful.  As I walked through the gates to the backyard I couldn't help but tear up at how blessed I truly am by my wonderful sister and family.  Emotions ran high all day for me and I will always treasure these special times.  The weather was also PERFECT that day which made the shower even more enjoyable :)  (Especially for the very pregnant mom)

Aunt Eli did a wonderful devotional where she showed some coloring pages
Evie had made for her when she was 8 years old!

The wonderful hosts!

Krystal even made a diaper bag and matching burp cloths.  The baby Nalgene was from Jon :)

A great day to remember with friends and family!!

Work baby shower

On October 1, 2010, my dear friends from work decided to throw me a baby shower.  It was at the home of Robin Slort and everything was beautiful.  It really hit me this day that I'm leaving teaching for a time to do another kind of work.  Although the transition will not be easy, I am so blessed to get to be a mom and I'm looking forward to it!  Thank you for making me feel so special and loved :)

We're having a girl!!!

Week 20 of the pregnancy we found out we're having a girl!!  We told our families that evening.  We covered a cake that said "It's A Girl" on it with a box.  We had everyone stand on a side: left if you thought it is a boy, right if you thought it is a girl (needless to say, it was almost 50/50).  Then we unveiled the cake.  Everyone was thrilled (especially Grandma-to-be Pierce).

I'll have to go back a little

Since I'm a little late in starting this blog, I'll go back in time a little.  We found out we were having a baby in March 2010.  Here is the progression of the pregnancy.  Grow, grow, grow!

Better late than never...

So in our efforts to remember all of our growing family's memories, I've decided to start a family blog.  I've been meaning to for quite some time now, but now I've finally done it.  Bring on the pictures and memories!
