She's Swinging All By Herself!!

Our Aubrey girl learned how to swing all on her own today!!  She's been trying to pump herself for a little while now, but today she finally got the hang of it!!  She was pretty proud of herself and we were excited to see her finally get it :).

Today kind of reminded me of being in the classroom.  When you finally see that "light" go off in a little one's mind and they finally understand something it is one of the coolest things to witness.  During that moment you're proud as their teacher but even more excited for them that something just clicked.  Today was one of those moments for us with Aubrey :).  We're proud and also thrilled she finally got it after so many tries!!

Great job Aubrey!!  You're going to love swinging even more now :).

Fun Times With Uncle Jeremy

A few weeks back Jeremy got the chance to come up and visit.  He came right before Christmas and got to stay for a little over a week!  The girls had such a fun time with him.  Lucy finally even got comfortable around her uncle Jeremy and was so happy around him :).  I think she enjoyed being so high off of the ground every time he picked Lucy up!  Her parents are a little vertically challenged :)

We had some down time altogether throughout the week and one day even had a picnic at the park with him.  Good times :).

Thanks for coming out Jeremy!!  We love it when you visit :).  And we love you!

Lucy's 10th Month

Well, Miss Lucy.  It has been quite a busy month once again!!

At 10 months Lucy:

~ took her first trip down to L.A. This was probably first of many trips we will be taking down south to visit family.  You can see more about that trip here.

~ those very sore gums had two more teeth break through this month.  Funny thing was that it wasn't her top front teeth that came in but her two eye teeth.  Her doctor even looked at her and laughed a little :).  We've heard that those eye teeth are one of the more painful teeth to break through, so here's hoping the next teeth to come through won't be as terrible.

~ became more clingy to mom and dad.  At the end of this month she warmed up to others a little better :).

~ sat in a high chair for the first time at a restaurant

~ LOVES to move.  She can't sit still for very long and loves to crawl around the house and pull herself up on anything and everything.  She also loves to crawl all over anyone who may be laying down the floor.  The more movement for her the better it seems :).  She plays independently a lot.

Here's some of her awesome dance moves!

~ waves and can say "all done" with hand motions.

~ loves to play peek-a-boo!

~ loves her bath time, but she's crazy in it!  All she wants to do is kick her feet and move around!

~ eats some solid foods with her little fingers.  Right now her favorites are peas, beans, cheese (yay that she can have cheese!) and cheerios.

~ walks like an elephant sometimes.  She gets up on all fours and walks around!  She hasn't done this long enough so we could get it on video yet :).

~ likes to make noises

~ had her first Christmas.

~ really likes to crawl under the kitchen table and chairs.

~ gets into a bit of mischief at times.  Yeah, we caught you Lucy :)

~ really loves to swing just like her sister.  As it turns out, I had my camera at the park a lot this month.

She even waved to us in this little video :)

On December 16 our tiny girl weighed 14 lbs, 14 oz (4%) and was 26 1/2 inches tall (9%).

Lucy, we just can't believe that one year is already around the corner for you!!  You have brought so many smiles and laughter to our home and your strong personality is coming out a little more every day.  We're loving seeing you grow and change (but could you just stay this way for a little bit longer?).  We love you Lucy girl!

Happy 10 months!!!
