Oklahoma!

On Aubrey's birthday this past November, we got the chance to fly out and see daddy in Oklahoma!  We didn't do a party, but seeing her daddy and flying on an airplane was birthday present enough for Miss Aubrey.

And boy did the airline give her the royal treatment!!  She had a birthday sticker on her shirt from school so right away the flight attendant saw it and said that she would be giving her something special :).

The flight attendants made each of the girls crowns made out of in flight pretzel and peanut snacks, announced a very special birthday message over the PA, and they even let the girls go into the cockpit on our way out!!  Seriously, the royal treatment for this birthday girl.

When we got to Brandon's apartment (at about midnight) the birthday girl was greeted with streamers, balloons, and a birthday banner hung up in the apartment.  Brandon also bought Aubrey some of her favorite treats and some cinnamon rolls for the girls and I to enjoy the next morning while Brandon was in class.  It was a birthday to remember!

We arrived in Oklahoma on a Wednesday night, Brandon had class on Thursday, yet he had all of Friday and Saturday off to spend with us!  On Friday we went to an incredible science museum in Oklahoma City.  We pretty much spent the entire day there and the girls (and parents) had a blast!

Saturday we walked around Oklahoma City.  We went to Bricktown, the botanical gardens, and saw some pretty incredible sculptures of the land rush.

Brandon is now officially back.  His training in Oklahoma is officially over, but there's a long couple of years of on the job training here.  At least we're not having to be separated for two months anytime soon!  I'm so thankful we got to go out and see him and split the time apart a little bit.  It was a long two months for all of us, but I think we're stronger in the end for it.  Now we just have to support and be there for Brandon during these next years of training and what this next chapter holds!
