Happy 6th Brithday Aubrey!

Aubrey girl, you have grown so much this year. We may just say that every single year, but it just seems you've grown leaps and bounds and the little toddler we knew isn't so little anymore.

You grown to be quite the creative young lady. The things you make out of paper and tape are amazing! You've created airplanes (complete with windows and passengers), pop up books, are now drawing people with eyes, teeth and fingers, created cakes and food out of play dough (all without molds), and you've drawn countless little pieces of art that our refrigerator just isn't big enough to house your works of art.

You still don't like to be by yourself for too long.  You follow mommy and daddy around the house all the time and when you are doing something on your own you always want us to be right by your side.  We'll take that while it lasts :).

Kindergarten has made you more confident and you've even met some new friends there. You love to learn and you love telling us about your day (the good and bad of it). Although we miss you on those mornings (and so does your sister!), we love that you enjoy school and are having so much fun!
You are sounding out words and reading short books all on your own now and we love seeing you read to your sister (and she loves it too!). You're usually excited to go to school, but you really like the time at home too.

You still have quite the memory! Not a thing slips by you it seems! You memorize verses so quickly!Your recall of stories and things we have done is incredible. We have to talk in code some of the time so you can't tell what we're talking about sometimes ;).  If you're owed a consequence you don't hesitate to remind us :).

You're very attentive to details about anything and everything!

There's definitely some sass in you! :)

Maybe we use sarcasm a little too much around you :).

You've become a really good helper on errands as well as around the house and have become pretty responsible with the chores you've been given. You love taking the grocery list and crossing things off, you help with the laundry, empty part of the dishwasher, and you are an expert counter cleaner.

You are still quite the daredevil and pretty clumsy.  We caught you just last week trying to jump off of your bed and swing with the curtains clutched in your hands! You fall on a daily basis somewhere and somehow.  We're a little surprised you haven't gotten more hurt than you have already!

You are still quite an active girl! Although this new school schedule has made you a little more tired, you still have energy that we wish we could bottle up for ourselves! You can climb the monkey bars, ride a two wheel bike, roller skate (you're still perfecting that skill), and you jump your heart out on a trampoline! The only time you may be still in when you are asleep :).

Your laugh is contagious!! You seriously have the best laugh and we love it! We love how your interactions and conversations with your sister usually always include some level of mischievousness and laughter.

Your love for your sister has grown and your relationship together continues to warm our hearts everyday. We love how you dress up with her, have tea parties with her, encourage her, and stick up for her.  You are an excellent big sister and we couldn't be more proud of you and the example you show your sister (most of the time :) ).

You are still are quite the girly, girl. You love shoes, tea parties, clothes, dresses, pink, purple and teal, painting your nails, and doing your hair pretty.

You love deeply. You love time with family and friends and getting to do stuff together.

You are growing like a weed Aubrey! You have lost four teeth, you've outgrown all your shoes, and most of your clothes are either too short or too small!

You love baking shows, Ready Jet Go, Callie's Wild West, Inside Out, Planes 2, Peg + Cat, Creative Galaxy, Sophia the First, and Peter Pan just to name a few.

You saw a movie for the first time at the theatre this year! We all went as a family to see Finding Dory and you were quite a fan of the experience :).

Lately you've become very easily scared.  We're not quite sure why, but we've been keeping to movies and shows you're familiar with :).

You have a big sweet tooth. You ask us every night, even before you even finish your dinner, what we're having for dessert (even though we don't have dessert every night!). You love baking with mommy and you are a wonderful helper.

You've officially outgrown your milk allergy! This is big for all of us! The taste of cow's milk still isn't appetizing to you, so we stick with almond milk.  Overcoming this allergy has opened up a world of opportunities with food! Mommy doesn't have to cook differently for each meal now! You are still getting used to the taste of cheese, but you've had pizza for the first time this year. Life changing!

Aubrey Joy, you have lived up to your middle name in more than ways we can count!  You have brought so much laughter, joy and happiness into our lives by just being YOU!  You are one of a kind, fearfully and wonderfully made with gifts and talents we've only begun to see.  You are a treasure in our lives and we love you so very much sweet girl.  May you continue to grow in confidence and in your inner beauty little one.

Happy 6th Birthday!

We love you,
Daddy and Mommy
