Babysitting in Utah

Back in June my mom and I had the opportunity to babysit these cuties for part of a week while Krystal and Jon took the youth group to summer camp.  Oh goodness, are these girls busy!

We kept them busy with lots of activities and snacks throughout the day.  We did a sorting and rainbow making activity one day.

Even Leah got in on it!

She enjoyed eating those fruit loops as well as pretending to hide from us!

Well, I think they all enjoyed eating that cereal :).

It was pretty warm weather while we were there, so we enjoyed making some popsicles.  Norah didn't like it so much and they way Leah was eating hers was hilarious!

Like I said, lots of treats :).

The girls found bugs, snails, frogs, and little critters everywhere we went and they weren't even afraid of those little guys one bit!

Dollar store spray bottles kept these girls busy for a while during the day.

Leah stuck to her little water tub and spray bottle a lot of the time, but it kept her occupied!

Swings, parks and pretend play were also ways these girls kept entertained.  There was the occasional PBS show as well :).

We took the girls to a splash pad one 100 degree morning.  The water was pretty cold, but the girls got used to the water temperature pretty quickly!

Baba was right there with these girls keeping them safe :).

We packed a great picnic lunch for these girls that day and boy were they hungry after playing so hard in that splash pad!

Another day we decided to take the train to downtown Salt Lake City and venture to the mall and walk around the city a little bit.

These girls were so excited!

It ended up being another hot day, so the play structures inside the mall were a welcome venue for all of us!

As we waited in the heat for one of our trains, my mom got the girls a chocolate covered strawberry to pass the time.  The chocolate ended up everywhere on these little girls, but boy did they enjoy the treat!

Poor Aubrey had a couple of loose teeth, so she had to eat everything on the side of her mouth :).

On the way back home on the train Aubrey tried to teach the younger girls how to play telephone.  Needless to say they didn't quite get the game, but it sure made for some cute photos of their expressions :).

These girls seriously have so much fun together!

We made some Frozen, sparkly, jello play dough one day and the girls had fun making cookies and pies for their little bakery.

I love how Aubrey tries to spell and figure things out!

For some reason there was a lot of hair styling going on throughout the weeks :).

One day we got to go visit Jon out at the camp.  We watched the youth group during their recreation time and then we stayed for the free time afterwards to spend some time with Uncle Jon.

The highlight of that time was watching the high schoolers go down a huge slip and slide!  The girls loved watching!

Aubrey was even brave enough to go on it herself!!  Go Aubrey!

My dad came out for his birthday weekend in between the weeks were there.  What better for their Dido than to go fishing with his grand daughters?!

I love how he wasn't even embarrassed to carry that bright pink tackle box :).

The fishing wasn't so great this particular day, but the girls were patient.

Lean passed the time throwing rocks :).

We went to another fishing spot the next day, and this spot was a winner!!  Although very small, each girl caught a fish!

Their patience had paid off!!

Then we couldn't have a celebration without cake!

Boy, did these girls LOVE being together!

These four still had times of squabbles and times when sharing just wasn't going to happen at a particular moment, but they got along so well and we had so much fun with them.  it was great to spend some time with Krystal and Jon when they came back from camp the second week we were there.  We missed daddy as he was working a lot back at home (and I promise I was there as well even though there may not be evidence of that!).  It was so wonderful to get some quality time with my nieces (which I never get!) and I time that I will cherish :).
